REPORT: Becky Lynch Is Taking A Hiatus And Has Told People In WWE She’s Not Going To AEW Imminently

Heading into WWE Raw on Monday night, it was reported that Becky Lynch had not signed a new deal with WWE ahead of her current deal expiring on June 1st.

Lynch dropped the Women’s World Title to Liv Morgan at the King and Queen of the Ring PLE on Saturday before losing in a steel cage rematch on Raw. Once the show went off the air, Lynch said her goodbyes as she was emotional while waving to the fans.

Wade Keller at PWTorch.com reports he had also heard from sources that she had not renewed her WWE contract. People she’s told have said that she is not going to AEW imminently but will be taking a hiatus from WWE.

It’s unclear what is the reason is that she wants to take time off from WWE, whether that be family time or needing a break from the grind of the road. Her colleagues believe that Lynch will return to WWE someday and are confident that they can work out a deal.

Earlier in the show, during a segment with Lyra Valkryia backstage, Lynch did allude to leaving and told the former NXT Women’s Champion to “keep winning or learning until it’s time to walk away.” As Lynch walked out to the ring, she seemed to be soaking up the momentum and atmosphere.
