FTW Champion Hook vs. Chris Jericho took place at the AEW Dynasty pay-per-view event from the Chaifetz Arena in St Louis, MO.
Jericho beat down Hook in the early going. They brawled to the floor where Hook countered a powerbomb with a german suplex on the floor. Hook with a powerslam from the apron through a table. Jericho was being booed throughout the match to the point where the crowd was chanting for him to go home. Back in the ring, Jericho hit a hurricanrana off the top rope for 2. Hook put a trashcan on Jericho and then hit him with a kendo stick then hit a t-bone suplex for 2. Hook avoided Judas and tried for a kneebar, but Jericho put him in the walls. Hook got out with a roll up for 2. Jericho with a low blow, but the referee somehow didn’t see it. Jericho with Judas Effect for 2. Jericho hit it again for another near fall. Jericho hit him with the bat for the win.
