A very interesting name is scheduled to appear tonight in the Women’s WWE Royal Rumble match and this person has never worked for WWE before.
PWInsider is reporting that a major interpromotional surprise is planned. The current TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace will be in the match. Yes, she is still with TNA and not signed to a WWE deal but both companies were able to reach an agreement.
PWInsider added that Grace will be referred to as the Knockouts World Champion and her TNA theme song and graphics will be part of her entrance. This isn’t the first time TNA and WWE have worked together. Over a decade a go, a deal was reached between both companies to get Ric Flair (who was in TNA at the time) to appear for the Four Horsemen induction ceremony. In exchange, TNA was able to get Christian Cage back for one night on a pay-per-view. Last year, then-Knockouts Champion Mickie James appeared in the Rumble.
