Going into tomorrow night’s AEW Worlds End pay-per-view, there’s a lot of speculation online from fans wondering who will be revealed as The Devil.
Tony Khan stated during the AEW Worlds End media call that he expects the Devil storyline to conclude at the pay-per-view and he strongly implied that we will find out who the person is behind the mask who has been behind the attack of several AEW stars.
Some fans have speculated that the person behind the mask is MJF or Adam Cole and others believe it to be Jack Perry or someone who was released by WWE. It’s not known who will be revealed tomorrow night but Dave Meltzer revealed in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Shawn Spears was one of the Devil’s henchmen.
Spears’ AEW contract expires in just a few days so that likely means that he’s not going to be one of the core group of people who were assisting The Devil. Some of the core names are believed to be (but not confirmed) to be Matt Taven and Mike Bennett. If that holds true, then it would support the theory that it’s been Adam Cole under the mask the entire time. We will find out tomorrow night at the pay-per-view.
