Things Are Still Not Good Between AEW’s Santana and Ortiz

Fans hoping to see Santana and Ortiz put their issues aside to move forward as a tag team will be disappointed to hear that those issues are still in place.

Last year, before Santana was sidelined with an injury, Santana and Ortiz had been booking themselves separately in singles matches on independent shows. They hadn’t worked much together as when they were used in AEW together, it was in multi-man matches.

Konnan previously said on his “Keepin’ It 100” podcast that “They are not on good terms.” They did team together when Santana returned from injury in the Stadium Stampede Match at All In.

Ortiz responded to a video put out by Santana where he was talking about his comeback, and he can’t depend on anyone who doesn’t have the same passion as him. He said that he had chosen to take a path on the road alone and showed footage of him and Ortiz.

Ortiz replied to the tweet, “What a way to find out years of having your back meant nothing.Good luck without your “crutch” Just remember it helped you walk for the last 14+ years. Hope your legs are good. Thank you for being honest for once. But you couldn’t say it to my face? You know you still can, right?”
