Backstage News on Jade Cargill’s AEW Status

All Elite Wrestling fans may be waiting even longer to get Jade Cargill back on television soon after being away for several months.

Since her AEW arrival, Cargill has been pushed strongly and is one of the top rising stars in all of AEW and it all started in November 2020 when she made her promotional debut as he interrupted Cody Rhodes and mentioned that she would be bringing Shaquille O’Neal to AEW. The mixed tag team match saw Red Velvet team with Rhodes in March 2021, where Shaq and Jade went over in the match.

Cargill would later go on a dominant run as the AEW TBS Champion before losing it to a returning Kris Statlander at Double or Nothing in May, snapping Jade’s 60-0 winning streak.

Following the bout, she teased on Twitter that she likes being out of the wrestling bubble, and it was reported she was taking time off from the promotion. In late August, it was reported that there had been talk of Cargill returning to television soon, and she had been backstage at a recent AEW show.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported, “There has been no talk of late regarding if or when Cargill would return to wrestle here.”

Cargill recently appeared on Women’s Wrestling Talk for a new interview, where she noted how much she enjoyed working with Tony Khan and there was nowhere else she would rather want to be
