Tonight’s WWE Friday Night SmackDown will take place from the PNC Arena in Raleigh, NC.
There have only been two things announced for the show, which is the fallout from Jey Uso’s Undisputed WWE Universal Title challenge to Roman Reigns, reportedly for SummerSlam, and Women’s Champion Asuka defending against Bianca Belair.
WWE is expected to announce more matches and segments for tonight’s show this afternoon, and SummerSlam matches for the August 5 PLE soon.
Pwinsider reports that WWE NXT star Odyssey Jones, who was put on the Raw brand as part of this year’s Draft, has been spotted in Raleigh, NC, ahead of tonight’s episode.
It should be noted that NXT’s Trick Williams was brought to last week’s show but was not utilized. There’s no word yet whether Jones will be used on camera tonight.
Jones hasn’t wrestled since an April NXT live event and has yet to make his main roster debut. Because he hasn’t appeared on television, it’s possible WWE has switched him to be a member of the SmackDown brand.
