AEW Collision premiere episode expected to have another ‘major talent debut or return’

It looks like AEW President Tony Khan has another surprise planned for fans.

All Elite Wrestling is preparing for the launch of a new Saturday night show that is believed to be called Collision. The show will air on TNT starting June 17th, 2023.

This show will join Dynamite, a two-hour program every Wednesday night on TBS, and Rampage, a one-hour broadcast on TNT, as weekly television programs for the promotion that started in 2019.

The show will be built around the returning CM Punk, who hasn’t been seen since All Out last year. The idea is to separate him from those who he has issues with and there will be some sort of a roster split, although the extent of it remains unclear.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Khan is planning to have another talent surprise on the first episode of the show:

Meltzer wrote, “The show, believed to be called AEW Collision, as noted last week, is expected to debut on 6/17 with a show from 8-10 p.m. Eastern, from the United Center in Chicago, which would also be the return of C.M. Punk along with what is expected to be either another major name debut or return.”
