The 2023 WWE Royal rumble is quickly approaching as the event next month usually features returning stars and legends appearing in the men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches.
Chris Adonis, FKA Chris Masters, has teased the possibility of him returning for the event. In a post on Twitter, he shared a video of his final wrestling match for this year before tagging WWE and counting down, a nod to the countdown clock for entrants in the match.
His last match of 2022 took place in Pakistan. He wrote: “10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1…..@WWE.”
He is best known for his WWE as he made his main roster debut in 2005 as “The Masterpiece” Chris Masters. After being released in 2007, he spent two years working on the independent circuit before making his WWE comeback in 2009 until he was released again in 2011.
Since his WWE departure, he has been wrestling on the independent circuit and the NWA, where he became the NWA National Heavyweight Champion on two occasions.
