“Stone Cold” Steve Austin may end up wrestling again after all.
As previously reported, Austin is to be willing to listen to any proposals at WrestleMania 39 in April 2023 following his successful return at WrestleMania 38 earlier this year when he defeated Kevin Owens as he enjoyed being back in the ring and was pleased with how everything went.
As of late, Austin has been sharing training footage of himself on social media, and he’s in fantastic shape, as seen here.
Fightful Select reported today that WWE at least wants him to do more with the company, and while the “Vince McMahon regime had hoped to have Austin come back to do another match, the Triple H regime had actually made an offer for Austin to do another match.”
Sources told them that they were sure whether that meant for a match in Saudi Arabia, WrestleMania, or somewhere else, but there was an offer. The sources presumed it was for WrestleMania in LA but wouldn’t confirm that or a potential opponent. One source indicated that initially, Austin and WWE were far apart on terms.
His WrestleMania 38 match was his first bout since retiring in 2003 following a loss to The Rock at WrestleMania 19.
