Departing Name Had Contract Talks With WWE Before Deciding To Leave

Two notable names announced their departure from WWE within the last week.

Those stars are Dijak, now a free agent, and Kayla Braxton, whose real name is Kayla Becker. The backstage interviewer announced nearly a week ago that she is leaving WWE after working for the company since 2016.

Braxton has shut down the rumor of potentially going to AEW, as she stated on Twitter that she was moving on from pro wrestling and that if she wanted to stay in pro wrestling, she wouldn’t have left the biggest company in the world. When she first joined the company, she was an NXT ring announcer before being moved to being a backstage interviewer in May 2017 on the main roster.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that “they were in talks for a renewal, but then she made the call not to sign a new deal.”

Braxton will be finishing up with the company at tonight’s SmackDown from Madison Square Garden.
