AEW Believed To Have Signed Nephew Of Former WWE Star

It looks like another star has become All Elite as the promotion continues to grow heading into 2025. They will need to secure a new television deal as their existing one with Warner Bros. Discovery expires at the end of this year.

“Dynamite Kid” Tommy Billington, the nephew of the late Dynamite Kid, is believed to be that star. He made his wrestling debut in 2018, when he worked occasionally with his brother Mark at the Billington Bulldogs.

While together as a team, they worked in Canada and the UK and ran with MLW from 2022–2023. They last competed for MLW in January 2023.

Billington first worked for AEW in May when he put over Dax Harwood in a singles match on Collison. He hasn’t wrestled for AEW since then, although he has worked on a few independent shows.

Fightful Select reports, according to talent close to Tommy, say that he’s been signed by AEW. Talent also believes there was an interest from WWE NXT in him. AEW nor Billington has yet to confirm the news, nor is it known what type of deal he signed, whether that be full-time or a tiered, per appearance deal.

This is just a snippet of the story. For complete details, please visit Fightful Select at Patreon.com/Fightful.
