AEW Wrestler To Undergo Surgery

AEW will be without one of its wrestlers for multiple months due to injury.

Anthony Henry is out of action. In a statement posted on X, he noted that he suffered a torn biceps in a recent Collision match against Gabe Kidd for the NJPW Strong Openweight Championship.

Earlier this year, he was out with a broken jaw. He had been part of the Workhosemen on ROH TV, with their last AEW bout coming in January on Collision, where they put over Sting and Darby Allin. The injury happened while he was working at a Deadlock Pro Wrestling match, where Bryan Keith retained the DPW National Title. He had been released while away with an injury, only to be brought back once he was medically cleared.

He wrote, “I,unfortunately, have to announce that I’m out of commission for the foreseeable future. During my match with Gabe Kidd this past Saturday, I tore my left biceps off the bone. Surgery this week, and then I start the road to recovery. I am sorry to any fans I am letting down.”

We wish him a speedy recovery.
