Ever since the UFC held its UFC Noche event at the Sphere in Las Vegas, fans have speculated about whether WWE could do the same since its parent company, TKO, pulled it off with the UFC.
It is one of the most unique venues in the world, with a giant screen behind an act, whether a band or an MMA fight. The UFC drew 16,000 fans with a 21 million dollar gate for the show.
While speaking to Adrian Hernandez, Rey Mysterio expressed his confidence that WWE could not only pull off an event at the venue but also make it one to remember for fans.
“When I heard Dana White picked that place for a one-night show, and it was a one-night show….When I walked into that place on UFC Noche, I was like, ‘Wow, and the first thing I imagined was a WWE event here. The logistics….you can make it work. There’s no way you won’t make it work just like Dana [White] made it work, so I’m really hoping that one day we put on a Raw, SmackDown, or whatever WWE wants to put in there. I think it’s worth it.”
