The Rock showed up at the WWE Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event from Toronto at the Rogers Centre to hear Cody Rhodes’ answer for an alliance between them. This came after the recent segment on SmackDown, where Rock asked Rhodes to be his champion and give him a piece of his soul.
At the Elimination Chamber, The Rock came out to the ring with Travis Scott. He said the moment has arrived and Rhodes will embrace him as his brother so he can embrace Cody as his champion. Rock said that he wants Rhodes’ soul and mind. He said if the answer is yes, the American Nightmare lives forever, but if it’s no then the dream dies again. Cody said he wants it all and no longer belongs to him because he gave his soul to the ring and the fans a long time ago. Cody told Rock to go f**k himself. Cena hugged with Cody then Rock did the throat slash and kicked Cody in the nuts. Cena punched Rhodes in the face with a watch. Cena hit Cody with the title and Rhodes was bleeding then choked him with a tie. Rock whipped Cody with the weight belt.
