WWE Star Hopes AEW Champion Returns To The Company To “Finish What We Started”

WWE superstar Karrion Kross has expressed his hope that current AEW World Champion Jon Moxley will one day return to WWE for a rematch.

Before signing with WWE, Kross faced Moxley at an FSW event in 2019, shortly after Moxley’s own departure from WWE. Speaking on the Battleground podcast, Kross recalled how their bond was formed after that match.

“He was very complimentary, and that’s where that conversation began,” Kross said. “Not to stir the pot, but I just want Jon to be happy wherever he is. I do hope one day that he does come back to WWE because I think it would be insane.”

Moxley, known in WWE as Dean Ambrose, was a member of The Shield and a former WWE Champion before leaving in 2019 due to creative frustrations. He has since become the first-ever four-time World Champion in AEW. Kross, who credits Moxley with encouraging him to reach out to WWE, would love the opportunity to face his old friend on the bigger stage.

“I think it would be insane, and I would love to compete with him here,” Kross stated. “I would love to compete with him here so we can finish what we started. That’s what I will say.”
