AEW has confirmed several schedule changes for December, including a significant time shift to avoid a head-to-head conflict with John Cena’s final match. Cena is scheduled to compete for the last time at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13, which begins at 7:30 p.m. ET.
An official press release from Warner Bros. Discovery announced that the December 13 episode of AEW Collision will air at 4:30 p.m. ET. This move ensures the show will end before the WWE special begins. The press release also outlined the programming schedule for the remainder of the year, including special holiday-themed episodes. The shows titled “Dynamite on 34th Street” and “Christmas Collision” will be taped on December 20 and 21 at the Hammerstein Ballroom but will broadcast on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Additionally, no “Tailgate Brawl” pre-show has been announced for the World’s End Premium Live Event on December 27.
Regarding John Cena’s final match on December 13, WWE is currently holding “The Last Time is Now” tournament to determine his opponent. Recent tournament developments saw Sheamus removed due to a shoulder injury, with quarterfinals set to feature Gunther vs. Carmelo Hayes and Solo Sikoa vs. Penta.
