AEW Doctors Put Heavy Restrictions On Bryan Danielson Ahead Of All In Match

AEW World Heavyweight Champion Swerve Strickland vs. Bryan Danielson is expected to headline the AEW All In event. However, Danielson is going into the bout banged up.

The bout was made after Danielson won the Owen Hart Foundation tournament, beating Hangman Page in the finals. This will be another chance for him to become a World Champion in AEW after falling short in past attempts.

Danielson previously confirmed his full-time days in the ring are closing this year, but he will continue to wrestle a handful of matches per year. His wrestling contract expires this Thursday.

Danielson recently noted in an interview that AEW doctor Doc Sampson didn’t want him to wrestle until AEW All In. Fightful Select reports that “there had been some heavy restrictions put on him by AEW doctors leading into the main event at All In.”

Danielson is beat up, and the plan for a long time has been to just get him to the All In match, “although they’ve prevented him from participating in some things that were originally planned along the way.”

The active plan is for him to stay in AEW past August 1st, including the All In match and more.
