AEW Dynamite Preview: World Title Match, Owen Hart Tournament Brackets To Be Revealed

AEW Dynamite takes place tonight from Harrah’s Cherokee Center in Asheville, North Carolina, with a last-minute main event change headlining the show after Kazuchika Okada was forced to return to Japan for a family matter.

Konosuke Takeshita of the Don Callis Family steps in on short notice to challenge Darby Allin for the AEW World Championship. Allin retained the title at AEW Fairway to Hell against PAC just days ago, making tonight’s defense a quick turnaround for the champion. Allin has additionally put a Hair vs. Title challenge to MJF for Double or Nothing, and MJF will address that stipulation on tonight’s broadcast.

Kevin Knight will hold a TNT Title Open Challenge, continuing his strong run as champion since defeating MJF for the belt. The show also features a massive ten-man tag pitting Adam Copeland, Christian Cage, Orange Cassidy, and the Young Bucks against Dax Harwood, Cash Wheeler, Tommaso Ciampa, David Finlay, and Clark Connors, continuing the escalating war between The Conglomeration and FTR’s alliance. Will Ospreay faces Ace Austin, Triangle of Madness takes on the Brawling Birds and Hikaru Shida, and both the men’s and women’s brackets for the Owen Hart Tournament will be revealed.
