AEW Dynamite Returns To Pittsburgh On September 30, Britt Baker Wrestles First Match Back This Wednesday

AEW Dynamite returns to Pittsburgh on Wednesday, September 30 at the Petersen Events Center, the fallout episode from All Out on September 26 in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.

AEW has not announced any matches or wrestlers for the Pittsburgh show as of this writing. The All Out card includes Will Ospreay defending the AEW World Championship against Jon Moxley, Christian Cage and Adam Copeland defending the AEW World Tag Team Championship against FTR and the Young Bucks in a chairs, tables and ladders match, and the Brawling Birds defending the AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship against Divine Dominion in a Chicago Street Fight.

Britt Baker returned to AEW on August 30 at All In: London at Wembley Stadium after nearly two years away, attacking Maya World during the Buy-In and helping Persephone win the TBS Championship. Her first match since November 2024 is set for this Wednesday, September 9, on the Rebel Heart edition of Dynamite in Athens, Georgia, where she teams with Persephone and Hikaru Shida against Thunder Rosa, Maya World and Hyan. She is also hosting a revived Waiting Room segment with Rebel on that show. She will be three weeks into her return when Dynamite reaches Pittsburgh.

Dynamite last ran the Petersen Events Center on September 24, 2025, also as the post-All Out episode. Baker did not appear. The show drew about 3,000 fans and was where Tony Khan announced the AEW Women’s Tag Team Championships. She had not been on television since a win over Penelope Ford on November 13, 2024. Khan said the following month that she was “still very much with us” and that he hoped to see her back soon.

Baker grew up in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, and earned her dental degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 2018. When Dynamite made its first trip to the city on October 23, 2019, she beat Jamie Hayter with the Steelers mascot at her side and AEW sold yellow “Brittsburgh” towels at the building. She was AEW Women’s Champion when the company came back in August 2021 for Dynamite and the Rampage premiere, walking out in a jacket covered in Steelers, Pirates and Penguins logos, retaining the title over Red Velvet with a broken wrist, and drawing “Here we go, Brittsburgh” chants from a crowd of 5,550. On April 20, 2022, Steelers running back Najee Harris and tight end Pat Freiermuth walked her to the ring, Harris waving a Terrible Towel, and she used a Steelers glove Freiermuth handed her to lock in the Lockjaw on Danielle Kamela.

In another Pittsburgh appearance, Baker walked out through a yellow entrance tunnel modeled on the Steelers’ walkout at Acrisure Stadium carrying a giant Terrible Towel while the building swung towels back at her. Her most recent Pittsburgh match, at the Dynamite fifth anniversary show on October 2, 2024, saw her enter through the crowd with a Terrible Towel and beat Serena Deeb.

She has kept the Steelers connection going during her time away. Baker was on the broadcast at the NFL Draft in Pittsburgh on April 24 of this year, catching a Terrible Towel thrown by Ben Roethlisberger and calling it “the best birthday gift.”

The September 30 show is AEW’s seventh at the Petersen Events Center, following Dynamite on October 23, 2019, Dynamite and the Rampage premiere on August 11 and 13, 2021, Dynamite on April 20, 2022, the fifth anniversary Dynamite on October 2, 2024, and Dynamite on September 24, 2025.

AEW’s Pittsburgh date is on sale now through Ticketmaster, with tickets having gone on sale August 14. The AEW event page lists a 7:30 p.m. ET start.
