AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley vs. Bandido took place at the AEW Forbidden Door pay-per-view event from the SAP Center in San Jose, California.
They did an exchange of strikes before Bandido wanted to do a dive, but Mox stopped him and hit a dive of his own. Mox dropped him on the steel steps and that got the fans to boo. This busted open Bandido and Mox targeted it. Moments later, Bandido made a comeback and started to fight back. Bandido with a series of moves and went for a frog splash only for Mox to put up his knees. Bandido with a power slam off the top rope then went for a move, but slipped and Moxley put him in a headlock. Bandido rolled through and nearly pinned him. Mox locked in the sleeper for the win.
Winner: Moxley
