Kenny Omega vs. Zack Sabre Jr. took place at the AEW Forbidden Door pay-per-view event from the SAP Center in San Jose, California.
After a technical start, things spilled out to the floor and a brawl broke out. Omega tossed the announce table cover onto Zack. Back in the ring, Sabre started the beat down of Omega. Moments later, Omega caught him with a big boot in the corner. Omega mounted a comeback and hit an outside dive. Back in the ring, Omega hit a drop kick off the top rope to the back of Sabre for 2. Omega hit the V-trigger as the momentum continued to build. Zabre worked over the right arm of Omega then bent it back. They did a suplex off the middle rope. Zabre went for an ankle lock, but Omega got out and they exchanged knee strikes. Omega with a reverse hurricanrona after a series of knee strikes for 2. Omega with a knee strike to the jaw then went for his finisher, but Zabre caught him with an armbar. Omega got out of hit and hit his finisher.
Winner: Omega
