AEW will soon have one of its stars back after being away for over a year.
That star is Tay Melo. She was first sidelined with a back injury before taking time off for maternity leave as she and her husband, Sammy Guevara, welcomed their first child last November.
On social media, Melo has shared that she is getting back in the ring to train for her in-ring return. It had been reported by PWInsider.com that Melo would be returning soon.
In Guevara’s latest vlog, Melo confirmed that she has been cleared to wrestle, something she hasn’t done in 17 months. The AEW star last wrestled in March 2023 but hasn’t worked a match in AEW since January 2023.
As far as her husband goes, Guevara returned to television a few weeks ago on the ROH brand, where he was used as a babyface and aligned with Dustin Rhodes in ROH.
