Brian Cage has signed a multi-year deal with All Elite Wrestling, according to a report by SoCal Uncensored.
There was no date given on when he will start with the company but it was said that he will pop up on AEW TV “soon.” Cage’s signing with AEW would explain the odd finish to his match with Rob Van Dam at Impact Wrestling’s Hard To Kill pay-per-view. Cage vs. RVD ended in a no-contest after Cage was busted open and Daga took Cage’s place and then lost to RVD.
Cage reportedly had offers from Ring Of Honor and Impact made an offer to get him to stay with the company. The ROH deal was said to offer the most money but Cage opted to get more exposure with AEW.
Cage is a former Impact Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion. He lost the title to Sami Callihan in October at the Impact TV tapings after the Bound For Glory pay-per-view.
The Cage to AEW rumors date back to May when he was seen in attendance at the Double Or Nothing pay-per-view and there was talk of having Cage enter the Casino Battle Royale on the pre-show but that was nixed by officials at Impact Wrestling.
