Enzo Amore: I Reached Out To AEW, “But They Had No Interest In Me”

Former WWE star Eric Arndt (fka Enzo Amore) made it public that he reached out to AEW, but the company was not interested in him. Arndt is currently known as “Real1,” a moniker he uses for his rap music career and on the independent circuit.

In July 2025, he made his debut for TNA at Slammiversary, scoring the victory for his team in a Six-Man Tag Team contest. He currently holds the 4th Rope Flyweight Championship and the ACW National Championship.

Real1 On AEW’s Reaction

Speaking on the No-Contest Wrestling podcast, Real1 disclosed that he had reached out to AEW, hoping to be part of the promotion. However, he stated that Tony Khan’s promotion was not interested in recruiting him.

“AEW is something I considered. I reached out, but they had no interest in me. And I’m at a point where if it’s f**k me, it’s f**k you. I mean, what do I care? What, are you going to cancel me? I have nothing to lose, bro. I’ve already lost everything. I’ve been dragged through the mud. And you know, when you treat ’em like dirt, they stick like mud, bro. I don’t care. If you treat me a certain way, I’ll treat you the same way.”

In WWE, Enzo Amore became a popular star as part of the tag team “Enzo and Cass.” After their split, he became a noteworthy figure in the cruiserweight division but was ultimately released in January 2018 after allegations of sexual assault. A police investigation into the allegations was later dropped due to insufficient evidence.
