Booker T received backlash for his comments about AEW’s Adam Cole.
While speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast recently, the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion said “we gotta get more weight on Adam Cole” because he thinks Cole’s frame was a factor behind the injuries in his career.
Former AEW World Heavyweight Champion Hangman Adam Page took to Twitter to rip Booker T for what he said by writing the following:
“I just hope that when I’m old and retired I don’t lower myself to some sh** a** podcast where I trash the younger generation that’s just chasing the same fortune wrestling has afforded me.”
After winning the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament at the Double Or Nothing pay-per-view event, AEW has kept Cole on television, but hasn’t been booking him in matches to allow him to heal up from injuries.
As of this writing, neither Cole nor Page have matches booked for Sunday’s AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door pay-per-view event.
