Injured AEW Star Returns To In-Ring Action

An AEW star has returned to in-ring action after being on the sidelines for five months.

AEW taped this Saturday’s Collision episode, which will air on TNT from Dayton, OH, on Thursday night. At the tapings, Yuka Sakazaki made her return. This was after AEW President Tony Khan announced via social media that Sakazaki had been cleared to return to the squared circle.

She competed in singles action against Serena Deeb on this Saturday’s episode. You can check out the full spoilers here.

The AEW star had been injured during an April 20th episode of AEW Rampage while wrestling Emi Sakura. She previously made her AEW debut in 2019 at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view by competing in tag team action, teaming with Emi Sakura and Aja Kong to face Hikaru Shida, Riho, and Ryo Mizunami.

She later worked at the AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator Tournament two years later and at the Owen Hart Foundation 2022 Women’s Tournament. While with AEW, she has worked across all their programs, including Dynamite, Rampage, and Dark.
