AEW has been without a notable star for several months. However, things might be looking up for him.
Powerhouse began his AEW journey in 2020 when he lost his debut match to Orange Cassidy on an episode of AEW Dark. He would later be paired with Taz as part of Team Taz with Ricky Starks and Brian Cage. While with AEW, Hobbs is a former TNT Champion.
A February episode of AEW Dynamite featured IWGP World Champion Jon Moxley defending against Powerhouse Hobbs. Unfortunately, Hobbs sustained a legitimate knee injury.
He had surgery in April and is expected to miss considerable time from in-ring action. However, he was recently at an AEW show.
Fightful Select reported Powerhouse was at Wednesday’s Dynamite in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Although Hobbs didn’t appear on the show, it is a positive sign to see him backstage at the event and visiting with friends.
