‘It’s Ok For Me To Step Back’: Bryan Danielson Addresses In-Ring Future

Bryan Danielson offered further insight into his perspective on his in-ring future during a recent interview with Talk Sport. He indicated a shift away from the demands of full-time wrestling while expressing contentment with his current position.

While Danielson stopped short of formally announcing the end of his active career, he acknowledged that the time might be right to reduce his physical commitments.

“I don’t want to put the word like retirement out there, but I’m honestly very comfortable where I’m at now,” Danielson stated.

Reflecting on his long career, he cited the effect on his body as a reason for potentially lessening his in-ring role.

“The reality is, I’ve given 25 years of my body to wrestling. I think now it’s Ok for me to step back,” he explained.

Danielson also emphasized that his personal priorities have shifted away from the demands of being a top star, highlighting his enjoyment of life outside the ring.

“And honestly, I don’t crave the spotlight or anything like that,” Danielson added. “I enjoy being a homebody. I enjoy being with my kids.”

Danielson is currently sidelined from in-ring competition due to significant neck issues. He has recently and repeatedly described his condition bluntly, stating, “My neck is wrecked.” Danielson is actively trying to avoid undergoing neck surgery and is doing stem cell therapy as an alternative.
