Jim Ross has confirmed he will be at AEW Double or Nothing in Queens next month and expressed renewed energy following an encouraging set of results from a recent medical checkup.
Speaking on Grilling JR, Ross opened the show by sharing the outcome of his physical, which he described as the best results he has received in years across several key health metrics.
“I’m good. Conrad, I was just telling you before we start recording that, when was my major physical? Monday, yeah. And all the results came back. Concern on my kidneys, she thinks that’s because of the meds have been taken, but everything else was, believe it or not, all my vitals, my blood pressure, my blood sugar, all that shit that old guys like me and I’ve got to keep up with was excellent. It’s the best numbers on my physical that I’ve gotten in years, quite frankly, so I’m very blessed, very happy, and good results today. It’s always good to get good results on your health. Conrad, God, dang.”
He also confirmed he will be present at Double or Nothing at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York, though the specifics of his role have not yet been determined.
“I’m going to be there, Conrad. I’m going to be there. We’ll do some work. Don’t know exactly what yet, but whatever Tony Khan says, I’ll run the play. I’m looking forward to calling some matches again. And he’s so good to me in that respect. I don’t think that he knows, as we speak, that I’m going to be on, be available on Queens, because we don’t talk about it. What’s he going to hear? I feel better today. I don’t feel as good today. I’m tired. I don’t like this feeling I got, or whatever. He’s got more on his plate to worry about JR’s health, for God’s sakes.”
