During the AEW Revolution post-show media scrum, Jon Moxley said that he was seeing triple after his head hit the ring post during his match with Chris Jericho.
Mox said that he was probably “half-concussed.” If that is the case then he will likely not be cleared to take any bumps this Wednesday night on AEW Dynamite.
Some other notes from the media scrum:
Tony Khan was asked about bringing back the War Games concept. He made sure to let everyone know that they are not referring to the match as War Games. WWE owns the trademark so AEW will be calling the match Blood and Guts. The Blood and Guts name appears to be inspired by an investor conference call from a few months ago where Vince McMahon referred to AEW as Blood and Guts.
It was confirmed that Colt Cabana has signed with the company and he will be working behind the scenes as well as being a wrestler. Cabana worked as a guest commentator on an AEW Dark taping a while back.
Khan did not want to speak about Matt Hardy. Obviously, with Hardy under contract for a few more hours, it would not be smart to talk about someone who is still under WWE contract as it would raise the issue of contract tampering. The initial belief was that Hardy’s contract with WWE was set to expire last night at midnight but Hardy’s social media posts indicate that he will be a free agent tonight at midnight.
Renee Young was in the crowd to support her husband Jon Moxley.
AEW confirmed that Cody’s tattoo on his neck is real. Brandi Rhodes said she didn’t like it.
