Mercedes Mone is once again stirring speculation that Bayley could be on her way from WWE to AEW. The AEW star has spent the week teasing a possible showdown with Bayley, adding to a rumor that the longtime WWE performer could leave when her contract is up.
Mone had earlier posted a match graphic for this year’s AEW WrestleDream, presenting herself against Bayley in October 2026. That post drew plenty of attention. She kept the drumbeat going this week by posting an hourglass GIF on X, shortly after Bayley appeared on Raw in a segment with Lyra Valkyria.
Bayley vs. Lyra Valkyria has since been confirmed for Saturday Night’s Main Event this weekend, but the chatter about Bayley’s future has not slowed, and Mone appears content to keep it going.
There is no public confirmation of when Bayley’s WWE deal expires. She reportedly signed a multi-year contract in late 2023, which has led to speculation that a move could line up with WrestleDream in October. None of that is confirmed, and neither Bayley nor either promotion has commented.
For now, it remains a rumor kept alive largely by Mone’s teasing rather than anything official.
