Ricky Starks defeated Brian Cage to become the FTW Champion this week on AEW Fyter Fest.
Starks got the pin after a swerve when Powerhouse Hobbs hit Starks with the title belt, cementing Cage’s exit from Team Taz. As Cage was laying in the ring, Taz and the rest of his stable walked together to the backstage area.
The FTW World Championship was first introduced in the late 90s in AEW and resurrected last year. The title is not officially recognized by AEW.
