Popular AEW Star Expected To Be Out Of Action For “Quite Some Time”

An unfortunate update has emerged regarding the status of former AEW International Champion, Orange Cassidy. According to a report from Fightful Select, Cassidy is not expected to be back in the ring any time soon, as there are fears he may have sustained a torn pectoral muscle.

The report notes that while an in-ring return is not imminent and he is expected to be “sidelined for quite some time,” the door is open for him to potentially make non-wrestling appearances on AEW programming.

Cassidy has been out of action since the March 19 episode of AEW Dynamite, where he competed in a four-way match against Ricochet, Mark Davis, and “Speedball” Mike Bailey. A torn pectoral muscle is a significant injury that often requires surgery and a lengthy rehabilitation period, which would align with the extended absence.

Over the last few years, Cassidy has been one of AEW’s most active and popular performers, making his absence from the weekly shows noticeable to fans. There is currently no official timeline for his return to the ring.
