REPORT: AEW Expanding to 12 PPVs Per Year, Moving to Max

More fuel has been thrown onto the fire with the belief that AEW is expanding to a 12-pay-per-view calendar starting next year.

AEW has slowly ramped up the number of events they do each year. They’ve introduced WrestleDream and All In so far this year.

AEW currently has a TV deal with Warner Bros. Discovery for Dynamite on TBS and Rampage/Collision on TNT while their PPV events air on Bleacher Report.

Many people have speculated that AEW would air its library on the Max streaming service. Before it was confirmed that All In would air on PPV, there had been speculation of it streaming on Max, but Max didn’t have the technical ability to do that in time for the show.

As previously reported, AEW and Warner Bros Discovery are in deep negotiations to extend their TV rights deal. In July, it was reported that WBD wanted AEW to expand its PPV schedule.

Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast reports that the promotion will expand its calendar to 12 PPV events per year and AEW content will be on the Max streaming service.
