Max Caster’s AEW contract is due to run out around October, according to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select.
The report adds a timeframe to what Fightful had already said about his position. Two weeks ago, the outlet reported that Caster remained under contract, had not been seen around AEW television much, if at all, in recent months, and was not part of any current creative plans. There has been no reporting either way on whether an extension has been discussed.
Caster has not wrestled for AEW at any point in 2026. His last appearance for the company was on the December 17 episode of Dynamite, in the Dynamite Diamond Battle Royal.
He has kept busy elsewhere. Caster has worked regularly on the independent scene in the Northeast, including dates for Beyond Wrestling, Create A Pro, WrestlePro and Wrestling Open, where he most recently faced Bobby Orlando on July 6. He also teamed with Anthony Bowens as The Acclaimed for House of Glory in March.
That reunion has not carried over to AEW. The Acclaimed split in January 2025, a full-time reformation was teased through the back half of last year before the angle was dropped, and Bowens joined The Opps in April.
Caster and Bowens held the AEW World Tag Team Championship together, and won the AEW World Trios Championship alongside Billy Gunn. Tony Khan announced the signing of both men in November 2020, which would make an October expiry the end of a run just short of six years.
Neither Caster nor AEW has commented publicly on his contract.
