Swerve Strickland Says AEW WrestleDream Appearance Won’t Be Just A Talking Segment, Will Convey News

Swerve Strickland is slated to make his return to AEW programming at this Saturday’s WrestleDream pay-per-view event.

He was last seen putting over Hangman Page in an Unsanctioned Steel Cage Match at the AEW All Out pay-per-view event at NOW Arena in Chicago, IL. In recent weeks, MVP and Shelton Benjamin have interacted with Prince Nana.

Although not confirmed, Strickland is believed to have a segment with the former WWE stars and likely the debut of Bobby Lashley, who is under contract with AEW. While speaking to No Contest Wrestling with O’Shea Jackson Jr. and TJ Jefferson, Strickland discussed his upcoming return.

“There’s a lot I can address from the past….I wasn’t even on camera. There’s a lot I can address there. There’s a lot I can address with the current. There is a lot I can address with the future…..There is a lot I can go into. Maybe the people are so enthralled and emotionally connected to me that I don’t even have to say much. I let the people just say it. There’s some things I gotta say to Nana because there were some business things that went array. There’s the contract…..There’s things to address with my health condition for a month now.  This isn’t just a talking segment. It’s me conveying new news. Me personally, my businesses outside of this.”

Swerve added that fans can expect to see the next evolution of him with something different about him and fans will sense that in the air.
