For those of you wondering what the rules are for tonight’s steel cage match between Cody Rhodes and Wardlow, they are a throwback to the days of the old NWA/WCW days.
Unlike WWE, wrestlers in AEW are not encouraged to escape the cage to win. The only way to win tonight’s match is via pinfall or submission.
Tonight’s card in Atlanta is stacked and it will be interesting to see what the ratings look like tomorrow. In addition to Cody vs. Wardlow, we will hear from new AEW Women’s Champion Nyla Rose. There will be a Tag Team Battle Royal to determine who will challenge for the Tag Team Titles at Revolution. Also, Dr. Britt Baker will be in action and Hangman Page and Kenny Omega will put their titles on the line against The Lucha Bros. Another big match scheduled for tonight is Jon Moxley vs. Jeff Cobb in Cobb’s first match in AEW.
