Top AEW star expected to be “healed up and ready” to return to the ring

Adam Cole could be returning to AEW soon after being on the sidelines.

Before Forbidden Door in June, Cole had been on the sidelines while healing up a torn labrum as he hadn’t wrestled since the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament final at Double or Nothing in late May, where he beat Samoa Joe.

Cole did opt to work the four-way IWGP World Heavyweight Title match at the AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door pay-per-view event but suffered a “very serious” concussion in the match.

AEW will present a Casino Ladder Match at this Sunday’s All Out pay-per-view event, and it will feature a surprise entrant known as the ‘joker.’ Many people speculated it could be MJF, but it could also be Cole.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported, “Adam Cole is expected to be healed up and ready, so perhaps it’s him.”

Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Penta Oscuro, Rey Fenix, Rush, Andrade El Idolo, and Dante Martin are also booked for the bout.
