AEW will have to load up the card for its All In event later this year when they run Wembley Stadium and one NJPW wants to take part in the historical event, Will Ospreay.
Last week, All Elite Wrestling announced that they would make their debut in the United Kingdom for the show on August 27. The venue has a capacity of up to 90,000 fans.
While speaking with Dark Puroresu Flowsion, Ospreay was asked about his interest in wrestling at AEW All In.
“I’m a guy that pops in. All the love in the world to all those & its amazing crew. I hope there is an opportunity as 1 of the guys that flies the flag for [England] everywhere I go. To do that would finally make my dad proud.”
Ospreay is not a stranger to AEW as he worked a few matches for them in 2022, including taking on Dax Harwood in a singles match on AEW Dynamite. Most notably, he defended the IWGP United States Championship against Orange Cassidy at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door last June.
Since March 13, Ospreay has been on the sidelines with a shoulder injury. AEW/ROH President Tony Khan previously revealed that Ospreay was set to compete at ROH Supercard of Honor over WrestleMania weekend. Those plans were nixed due to the injury.
With the working relationship with NJPW, AEW having Ospreay on the card is certainly possible and would help sell tickets that go on sale May 5.
I asked Will Ospreay about his interest in All In at Wembley:
