Wednesday Night War 3/4/20: AEW Dynamite beats a stacked WWE NXT show with two cage matches

The ratings are in for this week’s Wednesday night wrestling battle between AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT.

Despite WWE loading up the show with two cage matches, AEW managed to widen the gap for their post-Revolution show.

AEW Dynamite drew an average of 906,000 live viewers against NXT’s average of 718,000 live viewers. AEW also widened the gap and they tied NXT for viewers over 50 and won all other demo categories.

As noted, NXT was headlined by two cage matches and AEW featured a surprise appearance from Jake “The Snake” Roberts and Darby Allin taking on Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara after Jon Moxley was attacked by The Inner Circle.

Viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.36 / NXT: 0.23
Female viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.20 / NXT: 0.18
Male viewers 18-49 – AEW: 0.49 / NXT: 0.29
Viewers 18-34 – AEW: 0.24 / NXT: 0.16
Female viewers 12-34 – AEW: 0.14 / NXT: 0.10
Male viewers 12-34 – AEW: 0.26 / NXT: 0.16
Viewers 25-54 – AEW: 0.40 / NXT: 0.27
Viewers 50+ – AEW: 0.34 / NXT: 0.34
