As noted earlier, WWE and Bleacher Report have reached a deal that will bring WWE content to Bleacher Report and House of Highlights. The partnership will also include original programming and live event coverage during WWE Premium Live Events.
For those wondering what this means for AEW, the deal does not impact AEW’s current agreement with Warner Bros. Discovery. A source at WBD told me the Bleacher Report deal falls under the TNT Sports division and is separate from AEW’s agreement with WBD.
B/R has relationships with many brands that compete with one another, and its app has covered WWE for years, so WWE coverage on the platform is nothing new. At the end of the day, B/R will work with brands that help make the platform stronger.
AEW’s current deal with WBD runs through 2027, with an option year for 2028. Per the WBD source, AEW’s multi-platform relationship with WBD covers the United States only. The WWE deal is for worldwide rights.
