Former WWE/AEW star Bobby Fish debuted during tonight’s Victory Road pay-per-view.
During his promo at the PPV, Fish said that he’s been turned into a lightning rod for controversy and after 20 years “I’m just not here for the bullsh*t.”
He also said that he can’t be fired because he doesn’t work at Impact and he has been keeping an eye on the locker room. He said he called somebody out for being “less than legit” and the Impact locker room is full of “legit dudes” and guys who will step in between the ropes and give everything they got and they are not “faking the funk.” The “less than legit” line appeared to be a reference to CM Punk. Fish previously challenged Punk to a real fight.
Fish wrestled as part of The Undisputed Era as part of the NXT brand. Fish, Kyle O’Relly, and Adam Cole departed from WWE late last year and then signed with All Elite Wrestling. Fish’s contract with AEW expired at the end of August.
Earlier today, Ryan Frederick from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, reported that Fish tried to convince Cole and O’Reilly to request their AEW release so that they could go back to WWE. Cole and O’Reilly declined to do so. On his podcast, Fish praised Triple H and said that he would “go to war” for him.
