The main event for NJPW’s biggest event of the year has been set as Wrestle Kingdom 18 will be headlined by an IWGP World Heavyweight Title match.
At Monday’s NJPW Destruction in Ryoku, SANADA successfully defended his IWGP World Heavyweight Title against EVIL. Post-match, he was confronted by Tetsuya Naito, making their upcoming title match official on January 4, 2024.
Naito earned the title match when he won this year’s G1 Climax tournament. He successfully defended his shot against Jeff Cobb at NJPW Destruction in Kobe on September 24.

The two stars previously were part of Los Ingobernables de Japon before SANADA split to join Just Five Guys.
