Earlier we posted about Austin Aries’ return to Impact Wrestling. We made sure to keep the headline vague so that nothing would be ruined for anyone that wanted to wait until the show aired on Pop TV.
Well, Impact Wrestling has decided to let everyone know on their own social media accounts and website. Aries returned and defeated Eli Drake to become the new Impact Global Champion. FYI, if you don’t follow the company, the Global Champion is essentially the World Champion. The Global name was first adopted when they were briefly known as Global Force Wrestling. Anyway, Aries is the top dog in the company.
The decision was likely made because they know that most of their fans are already reading the spoilers. By posting the story on their own social media accounts, it might help to drum up some more interest for their show. I believe the title change will air on the February 1st episode.
