Impact Wrestling making free agent waves

Impact Wrestling has been getting fans talking about them by all of the teasers regarding the possibility of bringing in new faces.

Over the last few weeks, there have been various teases about signing former WWE stars who were let go by the company back in April due to budget cuts related to the coronavirus.

The likes of Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, EC3, and Eric Young have been teased. Impact has already signed and used former NXT star Deonna Purrazzo on television. To read about two names headed to Impact, click here. 

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reports that he’s been told Impact Wrestling has been very active in the free-agent market of late. Per the report, he’s heard of several names being discussed about coming in, but “even the roster isn’t sure of who is a done deal or not.”

It was added that the company has actually spoken to several more free agents along the way.

It should be noted that Impact can only make verbal agreements with those let go by WWE in April as those talents are under non-compete deals until July 15th. Luckily for Impact, their next pay-per-view event, Slammiversary, takes place on July 19th.

Thus, the reason that they’ve been teasing a few surprises on the show including the return of a former world champion.
