Matt Hardy Defends TNA President Carlos Silva Amid Company Changes

Amid a wave of roster and leadership changes in TNA, Matt Hardy has come to the defense of company President Carlos Silva, praising his leadership and his role in the promotion’s turnaround.

Hardy doubled down on his earlier comments about Silva, emphasizing that the executive was brought in with a specific and challenging mandate. In a statement on social media, Hardy laid out what he sees as Silva’s mission and his progress toward it.

“Carlos was hired for this position to 1) dig TNA out of debt, 2) streamline company cost and expenses, 3) get the company on a bigger TV platform, and 4) get to the point where TNA is becoming profitable,” Hardy wrote. “He’s been working tirelessly, and every one of these tasks are challenging. Carlos is getting things done and succeeding on all these goals.”

Hardy added that the locker room remains focused regardless of the changes around them. “The core group at TNA is gonna keep doing what we do,” he wrote. “Work hard, grind away and make TNA as great as it can be.”

The show of support comes during a turbulent stretch for the company. Over the past month, several wrestlers and behind-the-scenes executives have departed TNA, with the departures reportedly connected, at least in part, to the restructuring around the company’s new AMC television deal.

Silva took over as TNA President in February 2025. During his tenure, the promotion has navigated several significant developments, including its partnership with WWE and its move to AMC.
