Matt Hardy Isn’t So Sure Mike Santana Is Done With TNA

Matt Hardy has weighed in on the future of Mike Santana, who is rumored to be WWE-bound following his run at the top of TNA.

Speaking on The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, the veteran addressed the speculation surrounding Santana, who recently dropped the TNA World Championship at Slammiversary amid reports of a potential WWE move. Hardy believes Santana accomplished exactly what he set out to do during his time as champion.

“Mike Santana established himself as a bigger star, and I know that’s what his goal was,” Hardy said.

While Hardy acknowledged the WWE rumors, he stopped short of treating Santana’s departure as a done deal.

“If it’s been his goal since he was a kid to be at WWE, then maybe he gets to live that out, and we’ll see,” he said. “Nothing is 100% certain yet, and he’s not officially done with TNA. He could be back, in theory, but we shall see.”

Hardy praised Santana’s rise and the value he built during his championship run, framing it as a win for both the wrestler and the company. He noted that the whole Slammiversary card delivered, part of what he called one of TNA’s best pay-per-views in some time.

“It was positive across the board,” Hardy said. “Every match delivered. I felt like everybody went out and busted their ass.”
