Matt Striker later tweeted, and then deleted, a tweet where he said that he was done with Impact Wrestling.
Striker’s delete tweet stated, “I am disappointed that my time with #ImpactonAXSTV is done. I REALLY enjoyed that locker room. Thanks for allowing me to tell your story. Thanks, everyone. Stay safe.”
Striker took over for Josh Mathews on commentary in early 2021. There’s no word on what led to his release or who will be replacing him to work alongside D’Lo Brown.
Striker has also provided commentary on AAA’s English-language feed. Last month he did commentary for Triplemania Regia but received backlash on social media for seemingly not being familiar with some of the names and storylines on the show.
