Moose Fires Back At Fans Claiming TNA Is Giving Away Bound For Glory Tickets In Tampa

Moose is pushing back at fans who criticized TNA’s ticket sales for Bound for Glory in Tampa and then questioned how the numbers went up.

According to WrestleTix, 2,203 tickets had been distributed for the October 11 show at the Yuengling Center as of Thursday. That jump came after weeks of slow movement. As of September 27, 756 tickets had been distributed, with two weeks to go.

WrestleTix tracks tickets distributed by counting seats that are no longer available on the venue’s seating map, so its figures include complimentary tickets as well as paid sales. It is unclear how many of the 2,203 tickets, if any, are complimentary. The latest update led some fans to claim that TNA handed out free tickets to fill the building.

Former TNA World Champion Moose posted on X:

“It’s hilarious when TNA only has 700 tiks sold with only 1 match announced and no marketing done, we’re awful. But as soon as we start doing heavy marketing media tours and make match announcements and sell 2000+ tickets and add more seats. We are handing out free tickets,” Moose wrote.

Seven matches are now announced for Bound for Glory:

  • Nic Nemeth (c) vs. Leon Slater for the TNA World Championship. Slater regained the X Division Championship from Cedric Alexander in a Last Man Standing steel cage match at Lockdown on August 23, then invoked Option C the same night, giving up the title for the shot at Nemeth.
  • Xia Brookside (c) vs. Indi Hartwell for the TNA Knockouts World Championship
  • Mustafa Ali (c) vs. Jason Hotch vs. John Skyler vs. Special Agent 0 in a four-way match for the TNA International Championship
  • Fabian Aichner vs. KC Navarro vs. Cedric Alexander vs. Rich Swann vs. Ryan Nemeth vs. BDE in a six-way scramble for the vacant TNA X Division Championship
  • The Hardys (Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy) vs. Syx (Joseph Sawyer and Samuel Shaw) in a Falls Count Anywhere match
  • Ricky Sosa vs. Eddie Edwards
  • The Call Your Shot Gauntlet, with Bear Bronson, Frankie Kazarian and Avery Styles among the confirmed entrants. The match will be Styles’ in-ring debut in TNA.

TNA also announced on Thursday that Mickie James will appear at the show. James was inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame at last year’s Bound for Glory. This year’s inductees are ODB, whose induction was announced at Rebellion in April, and Amazing Red and Konnan, both announced at Slammiversary in June.

The 22nd Bound for Glory airs live on pay-per-view and TNA+ on Sunday, October 11, at 4 p.m. ET from the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida.
